Smart Building, Smart Cities, Smart Nations

As urban hubs become increasingly connected and integrate technologies such as big data, IoT, cloud computing, robotics, and artificial intelligence, the need for constant monitoring increases. The convergence of physical and digital infrastructures poses new cybersecurity and privacy challenges. From attacks that are financially and reputationally harmful to attacks that have real-life repercussions like attacks on critical infrastructure, it is essential to have cross-agency, -city, and -enterprise IT policies, standards, protocols, and security architectures that govern and enforce minimum levels of security for technologies connected to the city’s IT ecosystem. This session will assess smart city vulnerabilities, smart city GRC, and explore leading practices for smart city transformation.
