Monique joined HSBC as Group CISO in August 2020, Monique leads a team of circa 1’800 employees and is responsible for the entire Cybersecurity Strategy and operations. Ensuring The Bank, it’s customers and employees are protected from an ever-changing threat landscape. Prior to joining HSBC Monique was the CIO at Chubb where she redefined the way Chubb delivered change, placing considerable focus on digitizing the company to meet the needs of their customers. Earlier roles at British Telecom and Bell South established her credentials in innovation and cyber security. Monique has had a successful career at Aviva, Capital One and American Management Systems. Monique is a firm advocate of women in technology. Although traditionally IT has been seen as a male-dominated environment, Monique, and many of her close network of senior, professional women, are showing that this is no longer the case. Monique has faced the challenge that many working women do – juggling a professional career with a family. She uses this experience to coach women at all levels, both IT and non-IT leaders as she firmly believes that a company with a diverse workforce is a strong company.
